Event Concept
The event draws inspiration from three scrolls and ten chapters of the “Canon of Tea/Tea Classic”, the earliest treatise on tea in the world, written by Chinese writer Lu Yu between 760 CE and 780 CE during the Tang Dynasty.
The scrolls are numberedby content, with the first being the origin, followed by the tools, the craft, the utensils, the boiling, the tasting, the history, the growing regions, the essence, and the imagery.
Corresponding to the ten chapters of the canon, ten exhibition series are created to showcase Xinyang tea culture and intangible cultural heritage through an immersive sensory experience.
